Respiratory Therapist at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff Therapist level I provides full range of respiratory care to Neonatal and Pediatric patient populations as evidenced by the skill/competency assessment. Ensures prompt and proficient provisions of respiratory related duties in accordance with physician directives. Complies with departmental and University Health's policies and procedures and maintains good public and working relations

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Master’s Degree, Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree with a current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care and active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the Texas Medical Board required. Must be BLS certified. PALS Preferred. Instructor certifications for BLS is acceptable in lieu of BLS.
