As a Service Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Supervising and mentoring a team of technicians while setting performance goals and providing coaching.
Leading ride-alongs, technical trainings, and job quality inspections to maintain excellence.
Reviewing job completion, service documentation, and adherence to company procedures.
Overseeing technician schedules, dispatching for profit, and real-time adjustments with the call center.
Managing timecards, payroll accuracy, job costing, and labor reporting.
Supporting recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new technicians.
Ensuring a safe and compliant work environment through training, coaching, and documentation.
Partnering with departments like HR, Procurement, and Fleet Management to ensure smooth operations.
Handling customer escalations professionally and promoting service recovery.
Maintaining high standards of professionalism, safety, and appearance at all times.
3+ years of hands-on experience in plumbing
3+ years of experience in dispatching for profit and technician scheduling
Strong knowledge of field service software and GPS monitoring systems
Proven leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, etc.)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
High School Diploma or GED required
EPA or NATE Certification (preferred, but not required)
Associate degree or prior supervisory experience (preferred)
Combination of office and field work, including ride-alongs and job site visits
Ability to work extended hours, evenings, or weekends as needed
Capable of standing, walking, climbing, and performing physical tasks as required
Must be comfortable working under pressure and handling conflict with professionalism
