RN - PACU Day Surgery at Central Peninsula Hospital – Soldotna, Alaska

POSITION SUMMARY: Manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Charge nurse responsibilities, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current licensure in Alaska as Registered Nurse or eligibility to do so.
• Associates in Nursing
• One year clinical/hospital experience
• BLSP certification required at time of hire
• ACLS and PALS within six months of employment.
• Demonstrates proficiency in acute care nursing knowledge and skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities; high critical thinking skills and ability to make decisions quickly; ability to work under pressure and balance competing requests by priority; must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation; ability to work independently and in a team setting.

PREFERRED:

• Bachelor’s in Nursing
• 1 year Nursing- Perioperative Care
