Platting CAD Technician at ELEVATION LAND SOLUTIONS LLC – New Caney, Texas

Elevation Land Solutions has a unique opportunity for a confident, passionate, innovative professional looking for a growth opportunity with a progressive land development civil engineering firm. Our next Platting CAD Technician will be a key team member working closely with various levels of the survey and platting team.

In this role, the Platting CAD Technician produces detailed drawings of plats with some supervision for land development projects. They also perform QA/QC checks and annotate plats per land plan and developer requirements.

DUTIES OUR PLATTING CAD TECHNICIAN WILL PERFORM IN THIS ROLE

• Work directly with Senior CAD Technicians to create and annotate plats per Elevation standards.
• Addresses redlines and markups from internal/external reviews and QA/QC prior to plat submittal.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD and Civil 3D drafting tools (typical commands, external references, annotations, data shortcuts, layer management, etc.).
• Basic understanding of Elevation CAD and platting standards.
• Ability to understand, address, and back-check basic plat comments (with guidance).
• Basic understanding of land development terminology (utilities, paving, detention, drainage components, etc.).
• Ability to identify potential design issues or inconsistencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of CAD experience.
• Proficient in Civil 3D(preferred)/Carlson.
• Basic subdivision/survey knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Associate degree, AutoCAD Certification, or technical experience (preferred).
• Aptitude to understand general construction plan set expectations.
