New Home Consultant at AVB – Portage, Michigan

JOB SUMMARY

The New Home Sales Consultant guides prospective clients through the home building process, from initial consultation to project completion, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction at every stage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generate and follow up on leads through client-focused interactions, including information requests, tours, and meetings
• Build strong, lasting relationships with prospects and clients, prioritizing their satisfaction throughout the new home-building process.
• Assist clients with all aspects of planning a new home, including budgeting, home design, and project completion
• Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance lead generation and target market outreach
• Achieve individual sales goals
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of AVB floor plans, home sites, features, pricing, design trends, products, and communities
• Develop a working understanding of the home construction process, finish selections, and the local market
• Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate early, late, or weekend client meetings, parade of homes and other marketing opportunities
• Have a reliable, well-maintained 4-door vehicle to access construction sites and transport clients, signs, and marketing materials

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience or education in residential design, architecture, construction, or related fields
• Proven experience in real estate or construction sales
• Proficiency in social media, website navigation, and internet use
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and follow through on tasks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with accurate management of spreadsheets, options, and pricing
• Strong math skills for preparing and presenting pricing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Able to quickly learn the GKAR Multiple Listing Service (MLS) program and AVB specifications program
• Familiarity with Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of BuilderTrend software is helpful but not required

The work environment described here represents what the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This role involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The position requires walking homesites and construction sites, which involves navigating uneven terrain and unfinished homes.
