Maintenance at Royston Plant – Jacksboro, Tennessee

Position Summary (major areas of contribution):

The Maintenance person, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, is responsible for all maintenance, repair, and modification of SignResource’s facilities and equipment. Maintenance assesses the need for repair or modification, makes the repairs, recommends the need for outside vendors to make repairs, ensures the safe operation of equipment, prepares reports and other communications, and completes special projects

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:

• Must follow the LockOut/TagOut Program at all times on machines being serviced.
• Will maintain and perform preventive maintenance on all equipment, and will fill out and maintain a Service Log.
• Will maintain and make repairs or enhancements to SignResource’s facilities;-
• Will install new equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations;
• Will, when appropriate, recommend the use of outside vendors for facility and equipment maintenance.
• Will requisition materials for repair and preventive maintenance.
• Will complete special projects as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Must maintain the Maintenance Room clean and well-organized.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills:

• High school or equivalent degree required
• Minimum three years maintenance experience in a heavy industry manufacturing environment.

Experience (type and amount of experience required):

Ability to effectively communicate with all department employees.- Ability to work in accordance with SignResource’s safety policies, code of safe work practices, and compliance with lockout/tagout procedures with a minimum of supervision;- Excellent knowledge of repair techniques and machine operations;-Electrical wiring, Plumbing, and Carpentry experience;- Ability to relocate electrical panels from 120V, 240V, and 480V.- Experience in service of forklifts, pallets jacks, company truck, punch press power brake, spot welders, band saws, welding machines, air compressor, dust collectors, water heaters, A/C systems, propane tanks, etc..- Ability to effectively communicate with all department employees.- Ability to work in accordance with SignResource’s safety policies, code of safe work practices, and compliance with lockout/tagout procedures with a minimum of supervision;
