This is a hybrid position - some office and some remote work.
Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is a non-profit organization and one of the largest Hispanic Community Development Corporations in the United States. The organization began with a group of student and community activists in 1967, and was incorporated and received non-profit status in 1969 to fight discrimination against the Mexican American community. Inspired by Dolores Huerta and Cesar Chavez, we advocated for equity in education, politics, and labor conditions. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

You will work in a cross-functional role and generally be responsible for providing support to the Legal Department attorneys and staff through assistance with operational functions, contract management, transactions, litigation support, governance, maintenance of the Legal Department systems, and support to the Legal Department attorneys and staff in all areas as needs arise.
You will ensure an exceptional level of client service is provided at all times and will work with minimum supervision in performing the day-to-day work responsibilities.
You will partner with your peers in providing legal services to our internal clients – the employees at Chicanos Por La Causa.

- You are a strong communicator and can effectively communicate orally and in writing with internal and external legal staff in face-to-face and video one-on-one settings, group settings, by telephone and by e-mail or regular correspondence
Education/Background:
-
Associate’s degree required.
Four to six (4-6) years of experience as an administrative or executive assistant working in a professional environment.
Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered to meet the qualifications of this role.
xperience managing a high volume of work.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Demonstrated diplomacy and ability to offer dissenting points of view in consistently constructive and positive ways.
Ability to generate respect and trust from staff while fostering cross-functional collaboration and a strong sense of teamwork.

Candidate should have (or will be required to obtain) an active Arizona Notary Public Commission.
Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Ability to identify critical issues and brainstorm resolutions, prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and a willingness to handle all levels of work assigned
Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented mindset.
A wide degree of creativity, latitude, and knowledge to meet the challenges faced by this position.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
