Greater West Childcare is a Christian organisation, operating as an approved provider of Out of School Hours Care (OOSH) based in Greater Western Sydney, with the purpose of transforming the community with the love of Jesus Chris. CABOOSH is our OOSH service located on the site of Camden Baptist Church, serving the local community of Camden NSW.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor (Responsible Person). The role is ideal for an enthusiastic person who loves having fun with their colleagues and children, enjoys working with teams of people, has experience leading small teams and interacting with parents, and has a heart to see families flourish. We are looking to provide a part time role, with between 25-35 hours per week, primarily during on-floor times. All supervisors at our service receive some off-floor time each week to assist in service planning, programming, administration, and various other tasks.

Children's behavioural issues and incidents are managed well during your shifts

Communication is flowing clearly and in a timely fashion to the various departments within the organisation as necessary
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring a safe, fun and loving experience is provided for all children and families
Supervising the Educators on shift and taking on the role of Responsible Person as per ACECQA definition when the Centre Manager is absent
Opening and closing the centre, and ensuring that relevant procedures are completed, and rolls are accurate
Maintaining the cleanliness and safe operation of the centre by ensuring staff are completing their designated tasks
Assisting in the program planning and administrative functions of the service
Qualification & experience requirements
Working With Children Check
First Aid (e.g. HLTAID012), or willing to obtain
Child Safety 'Foundations' Training (through Geccko) or willing to obtain
Child protection training (e.g. CHCPRT025), or willing to obtain
Experience in Childcare/OOSH, preferably in a supervisory role
Experience leading a team of people preferrable but not essential
Availability during school terms between the hours of 6:30am-9:30am and 2:00pm-6:30pm, and all day during the school holiday periods (Monday to Friday), plus additional availability outside these times for additional admin duties, staff meetings, etc.
Remuneration
Hourly rate is set at $34.78 p/h + Worker Retention Payment + Superannuation.
We are in receipt of the Worker Retention Payment which is paid as an additional allowance on top of the usual hourly rate as per the details under the WRP Grant program. In addition, there are various allowances payable including broken shift, excess fares, uniform laundry, and others as per the Children's Services Award.
