This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled litigator to contribute to a dynamic management-side Labor & Employment practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation experience and a deep understanding of both federal and California employment laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent employers in litigation involving wage and hour issues, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other employment matters
  • Handle proceedings before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies
  • Take ownership of case management, including drafting pleadings and motions, responding to discovery, taking depositions, and attending hearings
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on employment compliance, internal investigations, and workplace policies
  • Work closely with partners and clients to develop case strategies and ensure timely deliverables
  • Monitor and interpret changes in employment legislation and case law

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws (e.g., FMLA, FEHA, Title VII, ADA, and wage/hour regulations)
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective collaboration and communication with colleagues and clients
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
  • Admission to the California Bar and in good standing
  • 4–8 years of employment litigation experience, preferably at a law firm
  • Prior experience handling discovery, motion practice, hearings, and agency proceedings

Salary & Benefits:

  • Base salary range of $175,000–$250,000, commensurate with experience
  • Annual performance-based bonus
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
  • Professional development support and continuing legal education opportunities
  • Hybrid work flexibility (with a preference for in-office presence several days per week)
