About This Position
A national professional services organization is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join its Conflicts and Intake team. This role supports attorneys and firm leadership by reviewing conflict reports, analyzing potential legal and business conflicts of interest, and helping resolve intake-related issues for new matters and lateral hires.
Review and analyze conflict check reports related to new business intake and lateral hiring processes.
Identify potential legal and business conflicts of interest and provide clear recommendations for resolution.
Draft conflict waivers and assist with conflict resolution processes.
Assist with the development and maintenance of ethical walls and legal screening procedures when necessary.
Collaborate with attorneys, recruiting teams, and internal stakeholders to address conflict-related matters.
Provide guidance to intake specialists and support staff regarding best practices in conflicts research and analysis.
Assist with drafting and reviewing engagement letters and related client documentation.
Respond to questions regarding conflicts policies, business intake procedures, and related compliance requirements.
Contribute to special projects and operational initiatives within the conflicts and intake function.
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction.
1–6 years of experience working in a law firm conflicts department or risk management function.
Experience reviewing and analyzing conflicts reports and identifying potential conflicts of interest.
Experience drafting waivers or assisting with conflict resolution processes.
Familiarity with conflicts management systems such as Intapp or similar platforms preferred.
Knowledge of legal intake procedures and engagement documentation is a plus.
$100,000 - $150,000 a year
