Section II: Summary of Job Function
Comments
Is responsible for the sleep center operations during the course of their shift, such as answering the phones and any other pertinent clerical duties,
Performs standard and complex polysomnographic recordings and monitors physiological phenomena throughout such procedures,
Performs any procedure within their scope of practice, such as multiple sleep latency testing, maintenance of wakefulness studies, archiving patient studies and documentation of any issues regarding equipment, supplies, and patient incidents,
Participates and is instrumental in new employee orientation,
If qualified, can perform scoring under the discretion of the Sleep Center Manager/ Coordinator,
Section III: Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure
Comments
New Jersey Polysomnographic license required,
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist credential must be obtained within 18 months of hire,
Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registered EEG Technician with Sleep experience,
BLS required,
Scoring knowledge strongly desirable,
Two to Five years previous patient care or experience in health related environment required,
Experience with pediatric and adult populations,
