Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Reports To: Human Resources Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly
Summary The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing Human Resources related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior Human Resources management by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
• Plans and conducts new employee orientation onboarding to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
• Keeps records of benefit plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires.
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs, bringing issues and concerns to the attention of the Human Resource Manager.
• Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, and employee assistance.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
• Scanning documentation, such as completed Preventative Maintenance, exit interviews, physician notes and all other necessary documentation.
• Print, scan, and provide security logs to the Plant Manager.
• Completes verification of employment.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
