Position OverviewWe are seeking an Employment Legal Assistant to support the early stages of employment law cases. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience who enjoys client interaction, case development, and working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new employment matters transitioning from intake
- Interview clients to gather facts, build timelines, and identify key employment law issues
- Collect and organize documentation including pay records, personnel files, and communications
- Draft and send initial correspondence to employers and opposing counsel
- Track incoming responses and maintain accurate case records
- Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is prepared for attorney review
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, next steps, and document requests
- Collaborate with intake staff and attorneys to support case development and strategy
- Prior experience in personal injury, employment law, workers’ compensation, or other litigation-related practice areas preferred; candidates with a strong legal background in similar fields will also be considered
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a deadline-driven environment
- Professional and client-focused demeanor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- This position is fully on-site; remote or hybrid work is not available
Hourly Range: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
