About This Position
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting and onboarding efforts across clinical, operational, administrative, and physician roles. This role partners with hiring managers, business leaders, and HR to execute recruiting strategies that reduce reliance on external agencies, improve hiring efficiency, and build sustainable talent pipelines. This position is accountable for both recruiting execution and measurable outcomes, including agency spend reduction, time-to-fill improvements, and successful physician recruitment.
Requirements:Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Uses the applicant tracking system (ATS) to facilitate job postings, confirm requirements align with approved job descriptions, and activate postings
- Maintains offer letters, standard candidate communications, and recruiting templates within the ATS
- Monitors job openings and ensures candidates are progressing through the interview process in a timely manner
- Develops and executes sourcing strategies to build sustainable talent pipelines of active and passive candidates
- Supports recruiting efforts for physicians (MD/OD) and other hard-to-fill roles, including outreach and pipeline development
- Represents the company at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, sponsored events, college partnerships) to promote career opportunities
- Supports and enhances the organization’s social media recruiting presence to attract candidates
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to develop, maintain, and build new hire orientation through LMS
- Facilitates post-offer/pre-hire processes, including background checks, drug screenings, and compliance documentation
- Manages onboarding processes and maintains accurate personnel files for new hires
- Ensures the maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of recruitment and onboarding
- Tracks and reports on recruiting metrics including agency usage, time-to-fill, and hiring volume
- Participates in ad-hoc projects including process improvement initiatives
- Performs other duties as assigned
Performance Metrics:
- Achieve up to 80% reduction in agency spend within 12 months
- Support hiring of 40–70 positions annually
- Reduce average time-to-fill by 20–30%
- Successfully recruit at least 1 physician annually, reducing reliance on external search firms (estimated savings of $20,000–$35,000 per placement)
- Demonstrate reduction in cost per hire year-over-year
- Build and maintain active candidate pipelines across key roles

Working Conditions and Environmental/Physical Demands:
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Operating motor vehicle.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Position reports to HR Director
- No direct reports
Position/Type/ Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position and core hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Potential for evening and weekend hours as required.
Travel:
- Travel to company locations may be required to facilitate orientation of needs and to potentially escort MD or OD candidates through a complex interview process.
- Position will be required to work onsite in Oldsmar, Fl one day to two days per week.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience?
- Minimum 1-3 years of recruiting or HR experience support role ideally including a combination of both corporate and agency environments (healthcare environment experience a must)
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledgeable of state and federal employment/hiring laws and internet candidate requirements
- Highly collaborative with experience working in a multi-disciplinary team to develop sourcing and candidate capture strategies
- Strong candidate sourcing skills using a wide array of techniques
- Demonstrated candidate management, relationship building, and negotiations
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, and act with a sense of urgency
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
