Job Summary and Objectives:
The Bartender position is responsible for providing exceptional member service through assisting members in the preparation of their drinks, maintaining consistency, and providing excellent member experiences in both the restaurant and banquet settings.
As for all our team members, your primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional member experience and maintain a high standard of member and guest satisfaction, service quality, appearance, and cleanliness of facilities. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential to the success of each team member, as well as the success of our operation.
Essential Job Functions:
· Welcome each member personally.
· Communicate with members using clear and enthusiastic words, tone, and body language at all times. Make members feel appreciated through actions.
· Work as a team with all personnel to maintain a positive atmosphere and an effective food and beverage service.
· Develop relationships with members learning their beverage preferences and special requests.
· Work with others to keep all areas clean and organized.
· Keep product stocked/replenished to Midland Hills CC par levels at the beginning & end of shift.
· Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes.
· Enter drink orders into POS system immediately, accept payment or apply charge to member’s account, present signature slip for member to sign.
· Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in accordance with Midland Hills CC standards.
· Polish stemware.
· Be attentive! Anticipate members’ needs and offer assistance before the member asks for it.
· Serve alcohol responsibly. Should a guest reach a state where the bartender does not feel the guest should drive, supply a taxi. Do not hesitate to ask for management intervention if necessary.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and twist.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
- The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls, and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
