CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist

As a Certified Surgical Technologist supporting the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), you'll be part of a specialized team providing surgical care for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures.

You'll work closely with cardiovascular surgeons, nurses, anesthesia professionals, and other specialists in an environment where preparation, precision, and teamwork are critical.

What You'll Do

• Prepare the CVOR for cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Ensure specialized instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and ready for use.
• Maintain strict sterile technique.
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and the cardiovascular surgical team.
• Pass instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning and surgical preparation.
• Perform accurate surgical counts.
• Handle specimens according to established procedures.
• Support infection prevention and patient safety practices.
• Assist with room turnover and preparation between procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and specialized equipment.
• Participate in education, competency development, and quality improvement activities.

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Previous cardiovascular or CVOR experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.

Pay & Benefits

$28.00 - $50.00 per hour. (Pay is based on experience.)
