At Harbor’s Edge, excellence is our standard. Located along the picturesque Elizabeth River in Norfolk, our five-star, resort-style Continuing Care Retirement Community provides a full continuum of care in a setting defined by elegance, engagement, and community.

We are seeking a highly qualified, full- or part-time Concierge professional to join our team to assist in delivering excellent care for our residents. The ideal candidates will have senior living or hospitality experience with a passion for working with an elderly population.

The Concierge is responsible for effectively managing the front desk reception area for Harbor’s Edge. Responsible for greeting and assisting guests, residents, staff, visitors, vendors, and the general public in person or via phone in a polite, professional, and friendly manner, consistently portraying Harbor’s Edge in a positive manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently greet and assist guests, residents, staff, visitors, vendors, and the general public in person or via phone in a polite, professional, friendly, and timely manner.
  • Effectively manage the front desk sign-in process for visitors, vendors, and contractors, ensuring proper check in, applicable dispensing of, and guests wearing appropriate badges according to policy and procedure.
  • Provide appropriate information to all visitors, including current marketing information and ensure they are directed to the appropriate individual(s) who can assist them.
  • Receive packages and mail, sort mail, log in packages and coordinate distribution, keeping residents/staff informed in a timely manner regarding pick up and/or delivery.
  • Ensure the reception area and lobby areas are kept clean, clutter-free, and well maintained.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years experience working with elderly or dementia populations; 1 year of clerical/secretarial experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant computer programs.
  • Follow safety and sanitary protocols at all times.
