Change Management Advisor

The Change Management Advisor supports program operations in a secure, mission-focused environment by leading change management and technical documentation efforts. This role is responsible for overseeing the change management process, supporting risk and knowledge management activities, and ensuring the development of high-quality documentation that meets program and stakeholder needs.

The position combines change management, technical writing, process documentation, and editorial oversight to support operational consistency, communication, and program execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end change management process and support successful delivery of program requirements.
  • Oversee risk and knowledge management activities, including identifying, tracking, mitigating, and reporting risks.
  • Establish and maintain processes to capture, organize, and share critical program information.
  • Manage technical writing activities by defining resource requirements, assigning task owners, and tracking milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of process documentation, ensuring quality, accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
  • Establish and enforce documentation guidelines, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintain documentation schedules and ensure all deliverables are completed in final form and submitted on time.
  • Develop and track documentation and process metrics to measure quality, timeliness, and effectiveness.
  • Serve as the final editorial reviewer to ensure consistency in format, tone, and compliance across documentation.
  • Create clear, user-friendly documentation based on technical input from subject matter experts.
  • Review materials developed by technical staff to ensure alignment with established standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, Master’s degree with 6 years of experience, or PhD with 3 years of experience.
  • Excellent technical writing and editing skills.
  • Experience with documentation platforms and document management processes.
  • Understanding of data and analytics concepts.
  • Experience leading or supporting change management efforts.
  • Ability to translate technical content for multiple audiences.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility/access, or ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical writing certifications or formal training.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with DoD 8140/DCWF Work Role 411 requirements and associated certification standards.
