Position Summary: We are seeking a proactive and solutions-driven EHS Engineer to support and enhance a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace within our welding and fabrication operations. This role goes beyond day-to-day safety support and focuses on driving continuous improvement, supporting risk reduction initiatives, and partnering with operations to design and implement sustainable EHS programs. The EHS Engineer plays a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening safety culture, and proactively identifying and mitigating risk through engineering controls, data analysis, and process improvements.
Level III: Practice – Optimizing resources & utilization in a mini-organization
- Activity & Budget Planning/Performance/Consistency/Predictability
- Create and Implement EHS objectives and improvement plans. Achieve these within budgets aligned with company goals
- Drive along with the operations team consistent and predictable EHS performance through metrics, tracking, effective corrective actions and accountability
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership
- Research/procurement/creation/monitoring/improvement of technology, systems, equipment & processes
- Create and Lead training programs that drive best in class EHS compliance for Graham Manufacturing
- Lead along with the operations team the research, procurement, implementation, and improvement of EHS systems, tools, and technologies
- Continuously evaluate and improve safety and environmental processes
- Implement engineering controls and innovative solutions to reduce workplace risk
- Support and own compliance programs in alignment with OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulations
- Provide effective communication and reporting to all stakeholders
- Provide clear, consistent communication and reporting to all stakeholders
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership
- Support interactions with regulatory agencies and external partners
- Support alignment and adoption of EHS initiatives across the organization

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required.
Education and Training
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Heath & Safety, Engineering, or related field required
Experience:
- 5+ years of EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing, welding, or fabrication environments
Other:
- Must be willing to work overtime as required.
- Minimal travel may be required

Duties are performed indoors in a manufacturing environment with temperature changes. Exposure to hazardous materials, fumes or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts with vibration.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to work in the U.S without sponsorship. Ability to obtain US government security clearance is desired.
