Shop Foreman, Advanced Tank Manufacturing at SUPERIOR TANK COMPANY INC – Rosenberg, Texas

Superior Tank Co. is building the next generation of industrial storage systems. We are seeking a Shop Foreman, Advanced Tank Manufacturing to lead daily shop operations in a high-output environment where skilled trades, precision fabrication, automation, and digital production systems work together.

This role is responsible for supervising shop crews, coordinating workflow, maintaining safety and quality standards, and helping implement future-ready manufacturing practices. The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who can manage people, solve problems quickly, and keep production moving efficiently.

• Lead daily shop operations for tank manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication activities
• Supervise shop employees, assign work, and monitor productivity across shifts or departments
• Coordinate with production planning, engineering, quality, and safety teams to meet build schedules
• Ensure all work is completed according to specifications, company standards, and customer requirements
• Monitor use of equipment, tools, materials, and shop resources to maximize efficiency
• Support welding, fitting, fabrication, and structural assembly workflows as needed
• Enforce all company safety rules, PPE requirements, and operating procedures
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement improvements to workflow, staffing, and shop layout
• Review digital work orders, shop dashboards, and production tracking systems
• Train and mentor team members on workmanship, safety, and process discipline
• Assist with inspections, rework coordination, and issue escalation when quality concerns arise
• Help test and adopt new shop technologies, automation tools, and manufacturing systems as introduced

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in tank manufacturing, heavy fabrication, structural steel, industrial manufacturing, or related field
• 2+ years of supervisory or foreman experience in a shop or production environment
• Strong understanding of fabrication, welding, assembly, and production workflows
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of shop safety practices and quality control standards
• Comfortable using tablets, production software, or digital tracking systems
• Ability to work in an active manufacturing environment and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, and supervise on the shop floor for extended periods

• Experience in tank, vessel, or large steel structure manufacturing
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Welding/fabrication background
• Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or production metrics
• Familiarity with robotic welding, automated cutting systems, or smart factory tools
• Forklift or overhead crane experience
