CLEARVIEW is currently seeking a Business Product Specialist to join our team. The Business Product Specialist is part of Product Specialist Group (PSG), who provide CLEARVIEW expertise to both internal and external customers.
What will your day look like? Duties and tasks include, but are not limited to:
Teamwork- Working closely, providing guidance, and sharing best practices with the rest of the PSG team and offering product-oriented leadership to internal and external resources.
- Communicating with other departments as necessary to ensure that changes and developments to the product provide the intended functionality and/or fully resolve the bug or reported issue.
- Work closely with Business Analysts on the solicitation of requirements and creation of solutions for inclusion in Statements of Work detailing new product enhancements.
- Maintaining an expert understanding of CLEARVIEW functionality, including up-to-date knowledge of all new features and releases within CLEARVIEW via participation in product demos and reviewing of documentation to provide business expertise and share product knowledge.
- Consulting with project teams as appropriate to assist in understanding existing CLEARVIEW features.
- Supporting helpdesk operations by handling more advanced and complex cases.
- A core value of the CLEARVIEW product is Inventory management, and as such, the setup and configuration of our customers menu, recipes and stock items is a core task for our Product Specialists.
- As new brands choose CLEARVIEW to help manage their restaurants, you will work closely with brand leadership to implement all related configuration required to create an accurate inventory tracking solution
- When existing customers launch new promotions and limited time offers, those changes need to be accurately captured, understood, and implemented within CLEARVIEW
- Taking ownership of key operational tasks and processes for customers, ensuring a satisfactory resolution in a timely manner (5 business days) and assisting the Support Teams with complex areas of the system, escalations from customers and vendors that cannot be resolved by the Help Desk team and managing correspondence with 3rd party vendors for escalated issues.
- Occasionally attending customer meetings, tradeshows and conventions when requested by leadership.
- Identifying and documenting standard processes that are followed when collecting information from customers and evaluating existing processes for efficiency and effectiveness. (Making recommendations for improvement where needed)
- Ensuring other internal teams are self-sufficient by liaising with appropriate managers to identify and address learning opportunities through documentation, training sessions or other means.
• Triaging/prioritizing multiple support tasks to ensure completion within the defined timelines and ensuring customer requests are fully understood and the scope of work is accurately defined, and work with other teams and key stakeholders to analyze the needs of projects and provide any recommendations or relevant input to improve efficiency/effectiveness.
Ongoing Skill Enhancement- Participating in continued education and training related to the restaurant industry and CLEARVIEW’s customer base and continue enhancement of technical skillsets to assist with completion of tasks.
- Staying abreast of all our customers internal initiatives (technology, menu, partnerships, etc.)

- A desire and ability to learn basic database concepts to assist with completing day-to-day
operational support tasks.
Key Experience and Assets
- Restaurant management experience
- Previous experience of utilizing CLEARVIEW as part of your day-to-day activities
- Experience managing inventory (order/receive/count/cost of usage analysis)
- Bilingualism (English/French) may be considered an asset but is not required.
Other:
- Minimal physical demands, with most time spent sitting/standing in an office environment; manual dexterity required for computer usage.
- Significant visual and mental concentration.
- Salary Range - $50,000-60,000 Annually.
- We are a diverse and welcoming group. Most of our team is located on the East coast of Canada, so our core business hours tend to center around Atlantic and Eastern time zones.
