Job Summary

Hanover Bank is looking for a full-time Loan Booker II to join our team! The Loan Booker reports directly to the Quality Control Officer. Responsible for onboarding and reviewing the loan portfolio to the core system as well as supporting the loan officers, branch personnel, and loan admin staff in a professional manner to ensure quality service. Responsible for training new hires.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Booking

  • Responsible for the onboarding of Commercial, Residential, and SBA loans to the core system
  • Process Extensions, Renewals, and Modifications
  • Process transactions in accordance with loan fundings and settlement statements
  • Work in conjunction with members of other LOBs to resolve any outstanding concerns
  • Prepare Loan Reconciliation from Settlement Statements
  • Update the closed loan log and closing calendar
  • Responsible for the filing and verification of MERS

Customer Service:

  • Review and respond to routine customer inquiries
  • Return all inquiry calls within one business day

Administrative Support:

  • Review daily GL reconciliations and clear outstanding items
  • Process loan payments from general ledger entries, as well as loan-related wires and ACH transfers for payments/disbursements
  • Ensure efficient and accurate processing of loan payments
  • Review coworkers' daily work for accuracy and audit purposes
  • Verify and keep records of all daily reports assigned
  • Act as a processor or reviewer of daily rate changes
  • Update the system accordingly for items such as ACH set-up, address changes, etc
  • Resolve loan officer issues related to newly booked loans
  • Monitor tickler reports to ensure ticklers are processed in a timely manner

Additionally, but not limited to:

  • Provide primary and backup coverage on processes as needed
  • Assist with department projects as required
  • Maintain/update assigned procedure documents
  • Other duties assigned

Education and Experience

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred, but not required
  • 3–5 years of loan operations, loan booking, or related banking experience required

Hourly Wage: $26.00 - $31.00; placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level.
