Warehouse Manager at PF Plumbing – Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Plumbing Warehouse Manager to oversee operations within our warehouse.

The ideal candidate will have experience in modern warehousing practices, excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage inventory and logistics efficiently.

This role requires someone who can handle purchase orders, manage material receipts, and operate a forklift, all while ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations: Oversee all daily operations within the warehouse, ensuring that inventory is properly received, stored, and distributed in a timely manner.

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, manage stock levels, and conduct regular audits to ensure that inventory is accounted for and in good condition.

Order Processing: Enter purchase orders into the system, ensure materials are received correctly, and coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely deliveries.

Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Ensure all forklift operations comply with safety standards.

Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a small team of warehouse workers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Organizational Skills: Implement and maintain efficient storage solutions, ensuring that the warehouse is organized and that materials are easily accessible.

Time Management: Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, ensuring that all warehouse operations are completed within deadlines.

Safety Compliance: Ensure that the warehouse operates in compliance with all safety regulations and that all employees adhere to safety protocols.

Reporting: Generate and submit reports on inventory levels, material receipts, and warehouse operations to management as required.

Vehicle Operations: Must have a valid driver’s license to occasionally transport materials or make deliveries as needed.

Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably within the plumbing or construction industry.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training or certification in warehouse management or logistics is a plus.

Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to operate a forklift and a valid forklift operator certification.

Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills.

Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed and stand for extended periods.
