Administrative Specialist at Integrated Services of Kalamazoo – Kalamazoo, Michigan

What You Will Be Doing

Working as an Administrative Specialist in the departments of Human Resources and Office of Recipient Rights (ORR) you will provide administrative and clerical support to both departments. Support includes physical and electronic filing/tracking, maintaining calendars, managing email boxes, and other administrative job tasks as assigned. Must provide excellent customer service managing a phone line and directly interacting with clients who are filing ORR complaints per administrative procedures.

What We Require

• High School Diploma or GED required with Associate’s degree or post high school education preferred.
• Minimum three years comprehensive office experience working as an Administrative Assistant or comparable position.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills required, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communications skills, interpersonal, attention to detail, and human relation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a proactive work ethic.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Physical Efforts – Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing as appropriate. May occasionally require light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending as appropriate. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.

Working Conditions – Office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones. Use of computer screen for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. Possible eyestrain from extended periods of viewing computer screen. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area is required.
