POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Manager, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing revenue-generating opportunities that complement RioCan’s core leasing activities. This includes digital advertising, temporary leasing, sponsorships, telecommunications, and other non-traditional income streams. The role plays a critical part in maximizing the value of RioCan’s retail and mixed-use portfolio by leveraging underutilized assets and enhancing tenant and customer experiences.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive ancillary revenue strategy aligned with RioCan’s broader commercial objectives.
- Identify and evaluate new revenue opportunities across the portfolio, including digital media, EV charging partnerships, pop-up activations, and telecom infrastructure.
- Lead negotiations and manage contracts with third-party vendors and partners.
- Collaborate with Leasing, Legal, Property Management, Marketing and Finance teams to ensure seamless execution and compliance.
- Track and report on ancillary revenue performance, providing insights and forecasts to support budgeting and strategic planning.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective partners and stay current on industry trends and innovations.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate, retail leasing, or revenue strategy roles.
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
- Written communication abilities, capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levels.
- University/ College Degree
- Experience working with landlords or in a real estate environment is considered an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
The base salary range for this role reflects compensation for candidates at varying levels of experience and proficiency. The salary will be determined based on the successful candidates relevant competencies, including skills, experience, education, and our teams requirements.
The listed salary range does not include bonus and other total rewards. This role is eligible for participation in the companys bonus program.
