Web Developer (Shopify Plus)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Web Developer (Shopify Plus) in Ireland.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and evolve a modern, conversion-focused e-commerce experience for a globally distributed brand. You will work in a highly collaborative, design-led environment where attention to detail and product intentionality are central. As part of a small but high-impact digital team, you will contribute directly to the evolution of a Shopify Plus storefront that serves a diverse, international customer base. The position blends frontend development, platform customization, and systems integration with third-party tools. You will help translate refined design concepts into fast, accessible, and scalable web experiences. Working closely with senior technical leadership, you will also influence architectural decisions and feature direction. This is a hands-on role where your work directly impacts user experience, conversion performance, and brand perception.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Shopify Plus storefronts, ensuring high performance, scalability, and seamless user experience across devices.
  • Translate Figma designs into clean, responsive, accessible, and maintainable front-end code aligned with modern web standards.
  • Build and manage Shopify theme customizations using Liquid, JavaScript (ES6+), SCSS, and modern build tools.
  • Implement and maintain integrations with third-party services including email marketing platforms, analytics tools, and other MarTech systems.
  • Develop and test new features, enhancements, and platform capabilities in collaboration with senior technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and support architectural decisions for the e-commerce platform.
  • Ensure adherence to web accessibility standards (WCAG), performance best practices, and e-commerce UX principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate progress, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality releases.
Requirements:
  • 1–3 years of experience working on Shopify Plus or similar e-commerce platforms in a web development role.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS/SCSS, and modern front-end development practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify theme development, Liquid templating, and Shopify CLI.
  • Experience translating Figma or design system files into production-ready, high-fidelity code.
  • Solid understanding of Git/GitHub workflows, including branching strategies and collaborative development.
  • Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs and experience integrating third-party services.
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and e-commerce best practices such as CRO, A/B testing, and UX optimization.
  • Experience working with MarTech tools such as Klaviyo or similar platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency and code quality.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and expertise.
  • Fully remote work setup with global flexibility.
  • Opportunity to work on a modern Shopify Plus architecture in a design-driven environment.
  • High ownership role within a small, collaborative, and impact-focused team.
  • Exposure to international e-commerce operations and scaling challenges.
  • Continuous learning opportunities in modern web development and e-commerce innovation.
  • Access to modern tools and AI-assisted development workflows.
