Job Summary:

The Nurse Aide under the direct supervision of the RN/LPN is delegated assignments by the RN/LPN to achieve quality patient care. He/she is involved in the implementation phase of the nursing process and is organizationally accountable to the Nurse Manager. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide technical care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to collect data and relays appropriate data to nurse and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education/Skills

Diploma/GED preferred.

Work Experience:

Minimum 6 months experience as a Certified Nurse Aide preferred.

Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE

Certified Nurse Aid Certificate

Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on required timeframe below

Basic Life Support

Within 30 Days of Employment
