About This Position
Are you a visionary clinical leader who believes that exceptional behavioral health care can transform lives and strengthen communities? Would you like to be a valuable member of a diversity driven, mission-minded team that impacts our community? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our executive team as our Chief Clinical Officer.
What You Will Be Doing
As Chief Clinical Officer (CCO), you'll sit at the intersection of clinical excellence and executive strategy — shaping the future of behavioral health services for the communities we serve. This is a high-impact leadership role with broad reach across our organization.
Lead Clinical Strategy & Quality- Provide executive oversight and strategic direction for all clinical services, spanning youth and families living with serious emotional disorders, adults navigating mental illness and/or substance use disorders, and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You'll champion evidence-based, culturally responsive care while ensuring full compliance with regulatory bodies (MDHHS, Medicaid), accreditation standards (CARF), and payer requirements.
Drive Organizational Alignment- Partner closely with the executive leadership team to ensure clinical operations reflect our organizational mission, values, and long-term strategic goals. You'll also serve as our designated leader for Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) compliance, ensuring we meet — and exceed — all program requirements.
Develop & Empower Your Team- Lead, mentor, and supervise clinical directors and multidisciplinary teams. You'll build and sustain robust structures for recruitment, retention, professional development, and clinical supervision — all grounded in a culture of accountability, trauma-informed care, equity, and staff well-being.
Shape Clinical Systems & Standards- Own the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of clinical policies, procedures, and standards of care. You'll ensure our practices remain current, consistent, and outcome-driven.
Collaborate Across the Organization- Work hand-in-hand with operations, finance, IT, and compliance teams to streamline clinical workflows, strengthen capacity, and break down silos — because great clinical care requires the whole organization working together.
