About This Position
Curriculum Coordinator – Clinical Program (Temporary Summer Student) The Role and Opportunity The Curriculum Coordinator Summer Student will support CMHA Toronto’s Housing Program by creating educational curriculum and learning resources that help clients build skills for independent living. This includes designing structured learning materials, interactive content for online training platforms, and supporting print and multimedia resources. The position is ideal for students in adult education, teaching, occupational therapy, social work, psychology, or other clinical backgrounds. The role emphasizes practical experience applying evidence-based practices in curriculum development for clients with complex health conditions, including mental health and co-occurring challenges. The student will gain experience in adult learning principles, anti-oppressive approaches, digital learning tools, and collaborative curriculum design, preparing content for iSpring LMS while integrating print materials for client accessibility.Salary: $17.70 per hourHours of Work: 35 hours per week Term: 8 weeksLocation: Hybrid / On-site as needed

ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Design & Development Collaborate with Housing Program staff and clients toidentifylearningobjectivesfor independent living, including financial literacy, nutrition, self-care, household management, and community engagement. Apply evidence-based practices to ensure curriculum reflects current standards in mental health and skill-building interventions. Design materials suitable for adults with diverse learning styles, literacy levels, and cognitive or physical abilities. Ensure curriculum is anti-oppressive, culturally responsive, and inclusive, addressing the needs of marginalized populations.Instructional Materials & Print Resources Develop client-facing print resources such as worksheets, manuals, handouts, and visual aids. Create materials that accommodate varied learning methods, including visual, auditory, and experiential learning approaches. Collaborate with Housing staff and clients to test materials for clarity, relevance, and accessibility.

Digital Learning & LMS Content Develop interactive modules foriSpringLMS, incorporating quizzes, multimedia presentations, and knowledge checks. Organize andmaintaincontent within the LMS for easy navigation and accessibility. Use digital learning tools to enhance engagement and learning outcomes. Troubleshoot minor technical issues and adapt content based on client feedback.Collaboration & Client-Centered Practice Work closely with Housing staff, clients, and subject matter experts to co-develop materials. Integrate feedback from clients and frontline staff to refine curriculum content. Apply direct mental health practice experience to create realistic scenarios and skill-building exercises.Project Coordination & Documentation Maintain organized records of curriculum development activities and project milestones. Track timelines, deliverables, and evaluation measures for each module. Contribute to reports on curriculum development progress for program leadership.Experience & Education Required Enrolled in post-secondary program in Adult Education, Teaching, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or related clinical field. Experience or coursework in adult learning, curriculum design, or instructional development. Familiarity with digital learning platforms such asiSpringLMS; willingness to learn and adapt to new tools. Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health, skill-building, or clinical interventions. Understanding of anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and inclusive approaches. Experience teaching orfacilitatinglearning for adults with varied abilities, health conditions, or learning styles. Strong written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail; collaborative mindset.
