Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and strategic-minded Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team and contribute to our financial planning and analysis efforts. This position’s directive is to provide actionable insights for ensuring the financial health of the organization while supporting swift decision-making for NAC’s growth.
The ideal candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer and have strong analytical skills and the ability to build upon tools currently in use while we integrate new tools by which we analyze financial data, prepare reports and presentations, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making at all levels of the organization as we grow. This role requires a deep understanding of financial principles, industry trends, and the unique financial challenges faced by architecture firms with large datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Expand and maintain current models and develop new models, evaluate financial data to predict future performance, assess scenarios to inform strategic planning and alignment with company goals and industry and economic trends.
• Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Expand and maintain current models and develop new models, assist with annual budgets, monitor actuals against budget, and explain significant variances to leadership.
• Financial Data Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, KPIs and trends to create clear, data-driven reports and presentations for various audiences.
• Investment Analysis & Recommendations: Assist in evaluating potential capital expenditures, investment opportunities, and strategic initiatives such as M&A, providing data-backed advice.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess and help mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance and safeguarding assets.
• Cost Analysis & Control: Analyze cost structures, identify inefficiencies, and recommend strategies for cost reduction and improved profitability.
• Strategic Decision Support: Translate complex financial data into swift and actionable insights for management by proactively reviewing and researching issues and opportunities.
• Ad hoc projects and collaboration as required.
Requirements:Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably within the AEC or professional services industries.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and consolidated budgeting/forecasting and analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to successfully complete multiple projects simultaneously and on time, while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to collaborate with staff at all levels of an organization.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Deltek Vantagepoint a plus), Microsoft 365 (notably Excel, PowerBI and PowerPoint), generative AI in a professional finance setting, and cloud-based FP&A software.
• Knowledge of industry-specific financial challenges and trends are a plus.

Other:
• Full-time, non-exempt position with a minimum of 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.
• Hybrid, professional open office environment.
• No travel is required other than regular hybrid commute.
