Job Title: Sustainability & Quality Manager

Location: Orlando, FL

Reports To: Senior Human Resources Manager/ DER

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: The Sustainability & Quality Manager is responsible for leading and advancing the organization’s sustainability strategy, programs, and performance across global operations, with a primary focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. This role drives the planning, coordination, and execution of sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, regulatory expectations, and stakeholder requirements.

In addition, the role provides oversight of key elements of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure operational consistency, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and proactive stakeholder engagement to enhance sustainability performance while maintaining essential quality standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Sustainability (Primary Focus)
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s sustainability strategy and initiatives
  • Drive alignment of sustainability goals, programs, and reporting across global stakeholders and business units
  • Establish, monitor, and report sustainability KPIs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and transparency of data
  • Oversee the preparation of sustainability reports, dashboards, and internal performance updates for leadership and external stakeholders
  • Act as a key point of contact for sustainability-related inquiries from customers, partners, and regulatory bodies
  • Ensure proper documentation, governance, and record-keeping of sustainability programs and compliance requirements
  • Identify opportunities to enhance environmental performance, resource efficiency, and responsible business practices
  • Promote awareness and engagement of sustainability initiatives across the organization
  • Quality Management System (Secondary Focus):
  • Oversee customer complaint management processes, ensuring effective tracking, root cause analysis, and timely resolution
  • Monitor quality performance metrics and support reporting of trends and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure effective implementation and closure of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with applicable quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
  • Maintain QMS documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Aviation Management, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in sustainability, ESG, compliance, or operational management roles
  • Experience in sustainability reporting, KPI management, and stakeholder coordination
  • Exposure to quality management systems, CAPA processes, or audit support is preferred
  • Experience in aviation, logistics, or regulated operational environments is an advantage

Required Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, ESG principles, and environmental programs
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
  • Familiarity with performance measurement, reporting frameworks, and audit processes

Required Skills:

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across global and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to analyze data, develop insights, and present performance reports to senior management
  • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., dashboards, KPI tracking systems)
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting platforms or ESG tools is an advantage
  • Working knowledge of document management and quality management systems preferred

Certificates, Licenses:

  • Professional certifications in Sustainability, ESG, or Environmental Management (e.g., LEED, ISO 14001) are an advantage
  • Quality-related certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Internal Auditor)

Physical Demands:

  • Primarily a sedentary, office-based role requiring prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on business needs

Work Environment:

  • Office-based role with extended periods of computer use
  • Standard corporate working environment

Travel/Other requirement:

  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision on a daily basis
  • Strong organizational and customer service skillls are required
  • Problem solving ability
  • Ability to work in an environment with time critical requirements and requires a sense of urgency and multi - tasking

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, copy machine/printer.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
  • Light to moderate lifting up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise (i.e., business offices with computers, phones, printers, and overhead lights).
  • Ability to work in a confined office or open cubicle environment
