About This Position

Description:

Are you energized by owning your caseload, guiding clients from intake to resolution, and playing a central role in securing strong settlements before litigation even begins? We’re looking for a Pre-Litigation Case Manager who thrives in a fast-moving environment and wants to lead cases with strategy, organization, and care.

Who We Are

HLG is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people who have been injured or disabled. What we do every day, with each individual client, positively impacts them as they face some of their most difficult times. Making a difference is what drives every member of this team, and it makes us one of the preeminent firms in our industry. We are growing fast and looking for people who aren’t afraid of a challenge nor of going the extra mile – because our clients deserve it. If you’re looking for more than a daily grind where what you do matters, we’re looking for you.

What You'll Do

As a Pre-Litigation Case Manager, you will maintain an active caseload and serve as the client’s primary point of contact from start to finish. Working directly with a Pre-Litigation Attorney, you will ensure each case progresses strategically and efficiently toward settlement.

Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Managing deadlines, including tracking Statutes of Limitation, checking for conflicts, and properly opening claims with insurance carriers.
  • Collecting and organizing evidence, insurance information, and asset details to strengthen case value.
  • Reviewing incoming mail and ensuring timely follow-up or attorney review.
  • Monitoring and evaluating treatment progress to support both client health outcomes and settlement positioning.
  • Preparing comprehensive demand packages for attorney review and valuation.
  • Initiating and managing the negotiation process with insurance carriers.
  • Preparing accurate and timely disbursement statements and ensuring cases are properly closed in the system upon final settlement.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of all case-related communication and activity in the case management system.
  • Acting as the overall director of each case, coordinating with internal team members and proactively notifying the attorney of any developments or concerns.

This role requires strong ownership, consistent client communication, and the ability to move multiple cases forward simultaneously without sacrificing detail.

Who You Are

You’re organized, proactive, and comfortable managing a substantial caseload. You take pride in directing cases from intake through settlement and understand how each step impacts value and timing. You’re detail-oriented and self-motivated, with strong project management and time-management skills that allow you to balance competing priorities effectively.

You think critically, anticipate issues before they arise, and communicate clearly and confidently with clients, insurance adjusters, attorneys, and internal team members. You handle conflict professionally, remain solutions-focused during negotiations, and maintain thorough documentation every step of the way.

You enjoy being trusted with responsibility and take pride in guiding clients through a structured, efficient, and supportive pre-litigation process.

You bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience in personal injury or legal case management strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking ability, and professional communication skills
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to accuracy and follow-through
  • Bilingual is a plus

Why You'll Love it Here

We offer a supportive, in-office team that values collaboration along with:

  • A comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid time off, 401k, paid parental leave, and pet benefit discount program.
  • A flexible schedule designed around core hours.
  • The chance to build a stable career as a legal assistant while doing work that truly matters.
  • Participating in a firm that recognizes effort, encourages growth, and celebrates the impact our work has on real people.

If you’re ready to take ownership of cases, support meaningful pre-litigation work, and grow your career as a Pre-Litigation Case Manager, we’d love to meet you. Special consideration will be given to applications that include a cover letter and applicants who are bilingual .

Apply today and take the next step in a career where your commitment to justice truly matters.
