Salary starts at $90,000 and increases depending on experience

State Technical College of Missouri is accepting applications for a full time, 9-month annual contract, exempt, and benefit eligible Instructor position for the Electrical Distribution Systems. Temporary housing may be available on request. In addition, one month during the summer is required to monitor student internships, with this responsibility rotating year to year.

Required Qualifications: Required Qualifications include minimum of five years of experience building and maintaining underground and overhead electrical distribution systems; a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a willingness to obtain one. Excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include teaching/training experience and five or more years of related work experience in one or more of the following areas: students underground and overhead electrical distribution systems construction and maintenance skills such as climbing, pole construction and setting, trenching, fault locating, equipment operation, transformers, conductors, metering, safety, and fundamentals of electricity.
Job Responsibilities: This position would instruct and develop courses that may include the following topics: Power Grid and Design, Equipment Operations, Climbing Skills, and Construction & Maintenance of Overhead Lines. Additional duties include student recruitment, advisement, and college service.
