About This Position
Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting overall panel shop operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments of supplies and materials, verify accuracy of contents, and inspect for damage.
- Process all incoming and outgoing shipments using appropriate shipping software.
- Prepare and package outgoing orders per customer and company specifications.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs and documentation.
- Create shipping labels and documentation for outbound shipments
- Prepare, ship, and manage LTL/Direct and UPS Shipments
- Pick parts for new projects.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories as scheduled.
- Update inventory records and report discrepancies to management.
- Monitor stock levels and report low inventory or overstock issues.
- Complete inventory audits and ensure compliance with inventory procedures.
- Label and organize stock items in accordance with safety and storage guidelines.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed, including stocking and order picking.
- Schedule direct expedited shipments.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5 years of experience in shipping/receiving and inventory control.
- Familiarity with inventory software and shipping platforms (e.g., FedEx, UPS, ERP systems).
- Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, inventory systems).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Ability to work well with a variety of others including coworkers, customers and vendors.
- On time, dependable, and willing to learn
- Ability to climb stairs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift experience.
