About This Position

Ascentec Engineering is hiring a Regional Facilities Manager to lead facilities and maintenance operations across our Tualatin, Oregon, and Dallas, Oregon locations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising site maintenance teams, driving consistent preventive maintenance and repairs, ensuring equipment uptime, and maintaining facility compliance across multiple machining environments.

The Regional Facilities Manager sets standards, builds team capability, and ensures the safe, consistent execution of maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration support, and facility compliance activities at both sites. Initial focus will be on the Tualatin facility, with a structured transition plan to assume full oversight of the Dallas facility within the first 180 days.

This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Core Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management (Multi-Site):

  • Supervise and develop maintenance teams of 5–10 technicians per facility (directly and/or through leads).
  • Plan, prioritize, assign, and review daily maintenance work to support production demands.
  • Provide coaching, technical guidance, and training plans to strengthen team capability and coverage.
  • Establish consistent maintenance standards, documentation practices, and safety expectations across both locations.
  • Coordinate schedules, workload distribution, and on-call rotations to align with production and uptime requirements.
  • Partner with site leadership to identify staffing levels, training needs, tooling, spare parts strategy, and resource planning.

Facility Management and Compliance (Multi-Facility):

  • Oversee facility operations for both sites, including building systems, utilities, infrastructure, and support equipment required for machining operations.
  • Maintain compliance with permits, inspections, audits, and regulatory obligations covering equipment, environmental systems, hazardous materials, and facility operations across both locations.
  • Prepare documentation for audits and inspections; coordinate and track corrective actions to closure.
  • Oversee ongoing facility requirements such as waste handling, ventilation checks, safety equipment inspections, and general building readiness.
  • Coordinate contractors, inspectors, and vendors to keep both facilities operating safely and within regulatory expectations.
  • Standardize and implement repeatable processes for compliance, documentation, and vendor management across sites.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems supporting CNC and facility equipment.
  • Lead structured improvements to reduce downtime, improve reliability, and strengthen preventive maintenance effectiveness.
  • Oversee and support the delivery, placement, and installation of new equipment across both sites.
  • Work with OEM technicians and outside contractors as needed; manage service coordination and readiness.
  • Ensure equipment is safe for use and confirm lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices are followed.
  • Use documentation and vendor resources to identify faulty components and source replacement parts.
  • Ensure completion of preventative maintenance for machinery, HVAC systems, and facility equipment.
  • Monitor and verify maintenance tasks within an ISO 9001-compliant system.
  • Oversee and support calibration activities aligned with internal standards, including annual calibration of multi-axis CNC mills, lathes, and EDMs.
  • Respond quickly to downtime events affecting production and coordinate effective recovery plans.

Interpersonal Contacts:

This position coordinates with managers and supervisors at all levels and engages extensively with individuals outside the immediate work group. The role represents the company through both formal and informal interactions with customers, vendors, OEMs, and inspectors as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in facility and machine maintenance within an industrial manufacturing environment (machining preferred).
  • Supervisory experience leading maintenance and/or technical teams with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on expertise in troubleshooting CNC machinery and supporting systems (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and controls).
  • Experience with facility operations, including building systems, HVAC, utilities, permits, inspections, audits, and compliance activities across one or more sites.
  • Proficiency with ERP or CMMS platforms for work order management, parts tracking, and maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics, coordinate contractors and OEM support, and drive improvements in an ISO 9001 environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of CNC machinery systems (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
  • Skilled in diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs, and supporting calibration activities.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and OEM documentation.
  • Working knowledge of facility systems (HVAC, utilities, safety equipment, and general building infrastructure).
  • Proficient in ERP/CMMS tools for work orders, parts tracking, and maintenance records.
  • Strong leadership capability to guide, coach, and develop technical teams across multiple locations.
  • Effective communication skills for working with production, engineering, quality, vendors, and contractors.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to manage priorities across two facilities.
  • Ability to work safely, follow LOTO procedures, and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement durable solutions.

Compensation/Benefits:

$90,000 to $160,000 DOE
