Summer Blast Substitute Teacher in Woodbury, Minnesota at New Life Church of Woodbury

Position Summary:

The Summer Blast Substitute Teacher will fill in as needed for Summer Blast Teachers. When filling in, the Substitute Teacher will oversee day-to-day activities for Summer Blast.

Responsibilities:

Primary:

Classroom Oversight – 100%

• Promote positive, friendly, and Christ-centered interactions with parents, students, and staff
• Manage classroom staff and their daily job responsibilities
• Plan and implement daily activities based on a theme centered curriculum
• Ensure that students are always supervised in the classroom, gyms, lunchroom, and outside
• Oversee and ensure safety of students and staff during off-site field trips and on-site activities

Education:

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree OR qualifications that meet MN Rule 3 Assistant Teacher standards

Experience:

Required Experience:

• Previous experience working with Preschool and Elementary aged children.

Travel: This position requires local travel.

Working Conditions: This job operates in a professional office environment and will routinely use standard office equipment such computers, photocopiers, and smartphones. The work environment also involves working in a Preschool-12 Private Christian School and Evangelical Church environment and all employees are expected to have a demonstrated and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Working Hours: This position works as needed and 2 months of the year (June 1st – August 7th) months of the year.
