Job Description

Seeking an HVAC Team Lead with commercial service experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Charlotte, NC.

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision and 401k with a company match!

Pay: $40 - $55 hourly (based on experience)

The HVAC Team Lead will lead field operations, manage a team of commercial HVAC technicians, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service and installations. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction

Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example with a positive, customer-focused attitude and professional appearance.
  • Support management in setting goals, aligning team performance with company objectives, and driving company initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor team members through regular feedback, KPI reviews, and hands-on guidance.
  • Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and proper PPE usage.
  • Coordinate daily service operations, ensuring timely job completion, accurate documentation, and high customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Service Coordinators and support parts ordering to meet project timelines.
  • Assist with sales efforts, including identifying opportunities, supporting estimates, and reviewing quotes.
  • Ensure team proficiency with HVAC tools, OEM/vendor apps, and support rollout of new technology and processes.
  • Maintain strong driver performance and participate in on-call rotation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC service experience.
  • Proven experience supervising or mentoring field technicians.
  • EPA Universal Certification (required).
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient with HVAC software and OEM/vendor tools.
  • Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record; able to pass background check and drug screen.
