Position Summary

As a Purchasing Agent, you’ll be a key part of keeping our projects running smoothly by managing purchasing, coordinating with vendors, and tracking materials from order to delivery. Key Responsibilities
Issue purchase orders for materials, equipment, tools, and supplies in accordance with approved quotes, budgets, and authorization requirements.Obtain and evaluate competitive quotes for non-standard materials and equipment.Support cost control initiatives while maintaining quality, delivery schedules, and vendor performance.Maintain productive relationships with approved vendors and identify opportunities to source new vendors when beneficial.Track open purchase orders, monitor lead times, and follow up on delayed or back-ordered items.Coordinate technical submittals and ensure purchasing aligns with approved specifications.Ensure all purchasing documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant (POs, quotes, packing slips, invoices, warranties, manuals, submittals).Coordinate with warehouse personnel to support receiving, inventory accuracy, and stocking of commonly used materials.Issue and process field purchase orders in accordance with SOPs.Communicate clearly with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding order status, pricing, and availability.Adhere to purchasing procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes.
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required 


Education

High school diploma or equivalent required Associate’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred

Experience

2 or more years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in construction, roofing, or a related environment Experience working with ERP (Sage Intacct) or purchasing systems preferred


Skills & Requirements

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferredUnderstanding of purchasing processes, purchase orders, and vendor coordinationAbility to read and interpret quotes, specifications, and submittalsStrong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detailEffective communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Excel and purchasing or accounting softwareCustomer-focused mindset with strong internal collaboration skillsMinimum 18 years of ageSuccessful Pre-Employment Drug Successful Background Check
