Job Description: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) — Full-Time

Department: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

FLSA Status: Exempt (Salaried)

Reports To: Director of ABA Services (or assigned clinical leader)

Supervises: Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and/or ABA clinical staff as assigned

Work Setting: Primarily in-clinic (multidisciplinary pediatric setting); limited work-from-home days may be approved for administrative/documentation or telehealth tasks, based on business needs and leadership approval.

Position Summary

Therapy & Learning Center of Georgia (TLC) is a multidisciplinary pediatric clinic providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy services. Our mission is to create a better future for our patients and their families by working together as a collaborative, compassionate team.

The BCBA serves as a clinical leader responsible for conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, supervising and coaching RBTs, collaborating with interdisciplinary providers, and supporting families through training and ongoing communication. This role is ideal for a team-oriented clinician who wants to make an impact in a supportive, collaborative clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning
  • Conduct intake evaluations and re-evaluations for new and existing clients.
  • Utilize assessment tools such as VB-MAPP, ABLLS, AFLS, and PEAK (as clinically appropriate) to guide treatment planning.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs.
  • Monitor client progress through data review and clinical analysis; adjust programming as needed to ensure effective outcome
  • Supervision, Coaching, and Team Leadership
  • Provide weekly supervision and ongoing coaching/feedback to assigned RBT team members.
  • Lead and support a small clinical team while promoting TLC’s standards for high-quality care and staff retention.
  • Participate in regular 1:1 meetings with ABA leadership and attend leadership/clinical meetings as scheduled.
  • Family Support & Caregiver Training
  • Conduct bimonthly parent/caregiver trainings and provide ongoing support to help generalize skills to the home and community
  • Communicate treatment goals, progress, and recommendations in a clear, supportive, and professional manner.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Professional Communication
  • Collaborate with other BCBAs, Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), and Occupational Therapists (OTs) to support each child comprehensively.
  • Communicate professionally with schools and outside providers to coordinate care and promote continuity of services.
  • Documentation, Compliance, and Ethical Practice
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation (clinical notes, treatment plans, progress updates, caregiver training documentation, and other required records).
  • Uphold BACB ethical standards, payer requirements, and clinic policies/procedures.
  • Maintain required credentialing and licensure in good standing.

Productivity Expectations

  • Maintain a minimum of 25 patient visit hours per week (or as otherwise defined by TLC based on business needs and caseload).
  • Caseload & Population (Typical)
  • Caseload: Approximately 6–8 full-time early intervention clients (may vary based on business needs).
  • Population: Pediatric clients in a clinic-based, multidisciplinary environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field (required).
  • Current BCBA certification (required).
  • Georgia BCBA license (or eligibility, if applicable/required for the role).
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise RBTs and lead clinical work with professionalism and consistency.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
