About us: Westervelt Ecological Services (Westervelt) specializes in the restoration and conservation of wetlands, streams, and endangered species habitats. We develop conservation and mitigation projects that offset environmental impacts from private and public development and infrastructure projects. Position Overview: This paid position supports a finance project to transition from the current accounting process into a new system/process. This position will work in person at our Lawrenceville, Georgia office (Atlanta area). This role will coordinate, collect, validate and enter a variety of finance and accounting information related to expense management, project hours, billing and company equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate receipt of all employee project timecards and follow up on missing or incomplete items
• Review for accuracy, completeness and policy compliance. Verify hours, job codes/projects and approvals.
• Enter information into Sage 50
• Review expense reports by verifying receipts, coding, dates, amounts, business purpose and compliance with expense processes
• Collect weekly equipment checklists, confirm completeness and note discrepancies or maintenance issues
• Gather mileage logs for all company vehicles, trip details
• Provide general admin support to finance team as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Position Details: This position is expected to be part-time, approximately 20 hours per week for a period of 2 months to 6 months, depending on the project timeline. The work hours can be flexible, but will be during the Monday-Friday time period. Pay is $20/hour.

Qualifications: Applicants must currently be pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or business, be available to work in person in Lawrenceville, and be a current college student. Must have strong attention to detail, ability to multi task, meet deadlines, and work effectively with others. Sage 50 experience helpful, but not required.
