Light Duty Cleaner at GUARDIAN SERVICE INDUSTRIES – New Haven, Connecticut

Position Title: Light Duty Cleaner – New Haven, CT

Monday to Friday 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM

Directly Reports to: Guardian Manager, Supervisor

General Description:

Perform a wide variety task throughout the main building as required. Will be responsible for keeping buildings in clean and orderly condition and will perform light cleaning duty's Primary function includes ensuring general cleanliness standards, cleaning and stocking restrooms, maintaining pantries, and removing rubbish, notifying management of the need for repairs.

Job Duties:

• Sweep, mop, wash floors

• Dust furniture and desks

• Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture

• Clean, disinfect and polish room fixtures and appliances/equipment as directed

• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures

• Clean and disinfect, door handles, walls, countertops, and displays

• Restock washrooms with toilet rolls, soap, and towels

• Empty garbage receptacles and reline

• Empty paper shredders

• Spot clean interior glass to remove fingerprints and smudges

• Maintain all equipment to be of a clean condition

• Report all faults to the supervisor

• Participate in all training relevant and as required

• Additional duties as required and directed
