This role offers a unique opportunity to serve as a subject matter expert in higher education, working closely with sales teams to drive meaningful engagement with prospective partners. You will be instrumental in shaping how institutions understand and adopt innovative solutions, guiding them through tailored presentations, demos, and strategic discussions. The position allows you to influence outcomes at both the institutional and organizational level, leveraging your expertise to build trust, establish credibility, and advance deals through the pipeline. This is a dynamic, high-impact role with a blend of client-facing interaction, thought leadership, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities:

As Director of New Partner Solutions, you will:

  • Serve as the higher education expert on sales calls, demos, and discovery sessions, providing deep institutional insights to articulate tailored solutions.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, webinars, and conferences, producing thought leadership content that strengthens credibility and generates pipeline interest.
  • Build relationships with senior-level stakeholders at prospective institutions, including C-suite executives, fostering trust and aligning solutions to institutional priorities.
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop account strategies, proposals, and pricing, offering guidance on institutional dynamics and competitive landscapes.
  • Document engagement, track progress, and support forecasting in CRM systems, ensuring visibility across the pipeline.
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer teams to cultivate references, success stories, and proof points to support sales initiatives.
  • Travel regularly to campuses, client sites, and industry events to maintain high engagement with prospects.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of higher education knowledge and professional experience, including:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, with at least 12 years of relevant experience in EdTech or higher education roles.
  • Proven experience in delivering executive-level presentations, demos, and discussions with senior decision-makers.
  • Deep understanding of higher education trends, operations, and challenges, including student success, enrollment, retention, and institutional research.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with productivity tools (Google Suite) and the ability to quickly adopt new technologies.
  • Experience collaborating across sales, marketing, and product teams.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with EdTech platforms or prior use of the organization’s solutions.
  • Leadership or management experience in higher education functions such as Academic Affairs, Student Success, Enrollment Management, or Institutional Research.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Slack, Gong, or similar sales support tools.
  • Background in pre-sales, solutions consulting, or thought leadership within higher education.
