We are looking for a passionate, driven, and energetic candidate to join our team for the position of Sustainability Coordinator located in Guelph, Ontario.
Compensation: Starting at $50,000.00 annually plus bonus.
Job Description
As Sustainability Coordinator, you’ll team up with sustainability partners to develop strong, supportive, and sustainable communities for present and future generations. You’ll be the engine behind our green goals—collecting and analyzing data to drive smart reporting and impactful projects. Beyond ensuring we stay compliant, you’ll help weave sustainable value into everything we do, creating an exceptional experience for our customers, our team, and the planet.
What you will be doing:
- Assist in compiling data for all third-party frameworks and applications as required.
- collection of information to develop strategic priorities and goals as they relate to the Sustainability Strategy.
- Participate in the annual planning, development and execution of Skyline’s Sustainability strategy.
- Coordinating company-wide sustainability related programs, including external education and employee training.
- Assist in reporting on department initiatives and strategic sustainability projects.
- Assist in developing organizational policies and procedures related to sustainability.
- Conduct necessary research needed to support all ongoing projects and future projects or opportunities.
- Monitor regulatory and policy changes in relation to sustainability and asset management.
- Help develop and/or improve internal processes and templates and promote best practices across the organization.
- You love diving into research and investigations to find the "why" behind the numbers.
- Analytical Rigor & “Nitty Gritty” Focus.
- You have a knack for teaching your peers about sustainability in ways that are actually fun and interactive
- Project management & logical problem-solving skills.
- You thrive on logic. When a problem arises, you work through it methodically, turning complex obstacles into efficient, streamlined practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated intermediate experience in Microsoft Suite.
- Knowledge of real estate asset management and clean energy production is an asset.
- Minimum two (2) to three (3) years related post-secondary education or two (2) to three (3) years work-related experience OR an equivalent combination of the two.
