The Sr Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting finance leadership by providing in-depth analysis, forecasting, and insights on financial performance, loss reserves, and business operations. This position focuses on complex financial data, evaluates trends, and ensures accurate reporting to drive strategic decisions. The role involves preparing reports for senior management, analyzing profitability, and supporting special projects across finance functions. You will work closely with other financial analysts, oversee data integrity, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting initiatives. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. - Assist finance leadership with special projects, troubleshooting, and analysis of financial performance
- Prepare detailed analyses on loss and loss expense reserves using complex actuarial methods
- Conduct forecasting, budgeting, and trend analysis for sales, finance, and general business conditions
- Develop reports, summaries, and presentations for senior management, assembling data from multiple sources
- Evaluate and reconcile financial and operational data to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Supervise and mentor junior financial analysts, providing guidance on complex financial tasks
- Support preparation and review of regulatory filings, including Form 10-K and Annual Reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 5–7 years of relevant financial analysis experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated experience with forecasting, budgeting, and preparing financial reports
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills to present complex financial data to diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
