Location: Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans
Clearance Required: SECRET (minimum)
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, between 0700–1800
About the Role
Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) is seeking a highly qualified Future Operations Specialist to support long‑range planning, GFM/mobilization activities, exercise design, and future force employment initiatives within the G‑3/5 Directorate. This role is ideal for an experienced operational planner with deep expertise in joint and service‑level future operations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support future operations planning, with a focus on GFM and mobilization planning.
- Develop and participate in large‑scale joint exercise design and planning activities.
- Produce planning inputs for EXORDs, OPORDs, PLANORDs, and related directives.
- Conduct analysis and develop planning products that support senior leadership decisions.
- Coordinate with Service‑level, Joint, and Reserve organizations to support MARFORRES readiness.
- Brief senior leaders and contribute to long‑range operational planning priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Active SECRET Clearance.
- Graduation from a Career‑Level School (e.g., Command & Staff, joint equivalent).
- Minimum 9 years of future operations experience, including:
- 6 years in G‑35/J‑35 roles at a general officer–level HQ
- GFM/mobilization planning experience
- Large‑scale exercise design experience
- Reserve activation exposure
- Relevant experience within the last 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduation from SAW, SAMS, MAWS, or SAASS.
- 0505 MOS (a plus but not required).
- Demonstrated proficiency in joint planning processes and future operations integration.
Work Environment & Schedule
- On‑site at Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans.
- Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week (within 0700–1800).
- Travel may be required
