Job overview
The Technician is responsible for supporting daily field operations related to filter installation, material handling, and site logistics within semiconductor facilities. This role ensures high-quality, safety, and compliant execution of tasks while coordinating closely with client’s mechanical teams, internal departments, and new hires. The Technician contributes to delivering reliable service, maintaining accurate installation records, and upholding company standards.
General Responsibilities
Filter Installation & Technical Tasks:
- Install chemical filters, AMC filters, MEP filters, or other filtration components according to approved procedures and safety regulations.
- Verify installation quality to ensure adherence to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
- Prepare and submit accurate installation reports (AMC or MEP) to maintain proper documentation and database integrity.
Compliance, Safety & 6S Discipline:
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, job site regulations, and applicable safety and environmental guidelines.
- Adhere to proper PPE usage, hazard prevention practices, and site-specific safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and 6S-compliant work environment at all times.
Customer & Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Coordinate with client’s mechanical teams to align installation plans, resolve issues, and support daily onsite activities.
- Assist Welmade’s material control and logistics teams both at the company facility and customer job sites.
General Support:
- Provide outstanding service to internal teams and customers by demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support overall project and operational needs.
- Support continuous improvement of training materials and onboarding processes.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Related Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or vocational training is preferred.
Must Have:
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow technical procedures.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Good communication skills for working with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to work in cleanroom environments and handle physical tasks (standing, lifting, moving materials).
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently or under supervision.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in semiconductor, mechanical, facility, or construction-related work is a plus.
- Experience with filter installation, cleanroom work, or material handling is a plus.
Working Conditions Disclosure
- Construction site environment with exposure to dust, noise, extreme temperatures, and large equipment.
- May require standing, walking, or climbing for extended periods.
- Use of appropriate PPE is required at all times on-site.
