Maintenance Supervisor | Job Description

Miyama is a manufacturing business providing precision sub-assemblies, stamped products and other customized services to the automotive and U.S. appliance industries. Our specialties are value-added services that include robotic and projection welding, CNC Drill & Tap, and CNC Lathing operations.

To maintain all facility production systems, utilities, building infrastructure, machines and machinery, and grounds. To also assist in the development, engineering, and design of new production processes and fixturing and tooling necessary to mass produce parts for customers. Will be utilizing a work order CMMS system that is currently in development and will be instrumental in the design and implementation of this system in 2022! Must collaborate with the maintenance department, production, and work with maintenance and production on designing creative engineering solutions for our mass production processes and aid in making the drawings and doing the machining work necessary to create the solutions.

· Perform the installation, moving, and wiring of all equipment in the facility

· Works with the Maintenance Manager and stores and references vendor contacts and contractors and works with them and monitors them when they are needed in our facility

· Advise and make recommendations and improvements on our current production methods and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs using the mindset of continuous improvement

· Must understand electrical circuits, wiring, and diagrams

· Is also competent with computers and programs in general and can assist in the setup and maintenance of these

· This position has to be able to wear a lot of hats be familiar with the maintenance of building utilities (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, Air Compressors, water, sewer and drains) as well as forklifts, trucks, CNC Mills/Lathes, Resistance Welders etc.

· Education: High School Diploma required and some college or college degree or Trade School degree or Certifications

· Minimum 4 years experience in applicable industry experience such as mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, utility maintenance, facility maintenance, and Machining

· Some Lead experience preferred

· Drivers License highly preferred

Required to walk, use hands, use tools, or controls, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, must be able to lift 50 lbs, reach and use hands and arms, drive a forklift on occasion

This position will have an office cubicle and desk but will spend 80% of time on the shop floor and 20% of time in the office

Job Type: Full-time, 7am – 4pm Monday thru Friday, willing to stay later if its an emergency

Salary: This position is for a fixed salary range, though some argue is should be paid an hourly rate, we prefer to pay salary but it can be discussed! $55K-$65K starting salary that often comes with multiple bonuses during the year and frequent performance reviews and compensation evaluations
