Radiology Technologist - $5000 Sign-On Bonus Available at Citizens Memorial – Bolivar, Missouri

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Radiology Technologist to join the team at the main hospital in Bolivar, MO. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities, and 1 residential care facility. About the department: Utilizing the newest state-of-the-art equipment and technologies, the Radiology Department provides 24/7 diagnostic imaging services to meet the needs of a wide variety of patients at both the hospital and Outpatient Imaging Center. Examinations are performed on both a scheduled and emergent basis and may include diagnostic radiology, mammography, vascular and echo-cardiography ultrasound, PET and CT, and MRI.

A typical day will include: Performing routine and specialized x-ray examinations in both the hospital and outpatient Imaging Center.

• Prepares patients for examinations by positioning and / or immobilizing them in accordance with type of procedure to be administered and considering their safety, physical, and psychological needs

• Performs examination, adjusting control panel settings such as voltage, amperage, and time of exposure as necessary

• Processes data assuring optimal imaging has been achieved prior to discharge of the patient, and performs re-imaging as necessary

• Assists Radiologist and medical staff as required, preparing solutions using sterile techniques and administering barium and IV contrast solutions

This position is: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7pm-7am with shift differential and weekend-option pay.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Completion of a Radiology Technologist program with an Associate Degree from an accredited institution

• Experience: Prior experience performing CT is preferred, but training can be provided

• Skills: Verbal and non-verbal communication, examination skills, patient safety

• Licensure/Certification: Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

• Physical: Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and walk the majority of the time; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. infrequently and 20-25 lbs. frequently
