Ultrasound Technologist at Jefferson County Health Center – Fairfield, Iowa

POSITION OVERVIEW:

To perform sonographic imaging examinations and procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision, but under the direction of the radiologist and/or ordering physician for diagnosis, and possibly treatment. Assumes responsibility for designated areas of department operation as trained and required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technology. Currently registered, or registry eligible, by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. With completion and documentation of appropriate training requirements for diagnostic medical sonography.
• Or graduate of an accredited program for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
• Or currently registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with an endorsement specific to Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Reports to Radiology Manager and Radiology Supervisor
