About This Position

We're seeking a WIOA Program/Fiscal Monitor to join our team and support our mission of improving federal and state grant programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience conducting annual monitoring for compliance with WIOA program requirements. This essential role involves monitoring fiscal controls, accounting practices, and reviewing performance measures. This position is contingent upon a successful contract award. Travel may be required.

Job Responsibilities

· Conduct annual monitoring for compliance with WIOA program requirements.

· Monitor fiscal controls and accounting practices related to WIOA funds.

· Review performance measures, eligibility determination, participant files, supportive services, and expenditures.

· Assist with follow-up monitoring and verify resolution of prior findings.

· Participate in entrance/exit conferences and coordinate with SWAPDD and its subrecipients.

· Evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of the One-Stop Operator.

· Provide detailed monitoring reports, including findings, concerns, and required corrective actions.

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, internal audit, political science, public policy, or equivalent.

Three years of experience in programmatic and/or fiscal monitoring with WIOA program requirements.

Four years of experience overseeing or monitoring WIOA programs.

Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to provide technical assistance professionally.

Meticulous attention to detail and ability to match field conditions with relevant federal statutes, regulations, and best practices.

Excellent time-management and critical thinking skills to analyze data and form a judgment based on technical knowledge of grant programs.

Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a remote or virtual team environment.
